Four cultivars of Mandarin, i.e., Nagpur Mandarin, Khasi Mandarin, Sikkim Mandarin, and Coorg Mandarin, and two cultivars of acid lime, i.e., NRCC7, and NRCC8, were resequenced. The study aims to do a comparative study with the other citrus genomes already available in the public database and to study the genome evolution of Indian cultivars. The genome data is also used to identify SNPs with peculiar characteristics like taste and flowering more than once a year. |
