Submission Process Overview
Process flow to submit the Next Generation Sequencing(NGS) Data in INDA.
The registered user can login directly to the INDA submission account. The user dashboard after login, will show a report of all submitted data and also incomplete submissions.
Data submission page of the user will have options to submit the metadata with registration of project, sample, experiment and run submission.
Study is entity which groups multiple entities together and study is the first step towards submitting the data to INDA.
The data associated with study will not be made public, until the specific release date.
The release date can be changed until the data is made public; once the data is public, it cannot be edited.
Sample comprises of the information regarding the source of the material sequenced.
Samples are associated with group of lists which define the parameters of the sample known as checklists.
Based on the type of sample, User can select the checklist and register the sample.
An experiment is an entity which stores all the information regarding a sequencing experiment including library details, library strategy and instrument details.
A run is part of experiment which refers to data files containing sequence reads. The raw data submission can be done in 2 ways: (i) Web-based submission and (ii) FTP based submission for larger size files (>500mb).
The submitter will receive 2 accession for each registered entity, from INDA and ENA(European Nucleotide Archive), in accordance to INSDC guidelines.
